Reading reflections are short assignments that I hope will encourage you to read the text or other sources and make our discussion of the material more fruitful. It's also a good way to encourage those who don't like to talk in class to express themselves. Note that the first assignment is mainly an introduction to using this webpage and has a slightly different format than the other reading reflections. Here are the main instructions for writing a reading reflection.
Due Date | Assignment |
Jan 28 | Introduction to PBwiki |
Jan 29 | Introduction to plant systematics |
Feb 3 | Plant systematics continued |
Feb 5 | Synthesizing info and Morphology |
We have by no means exhausted the usefulness of our text, but formal reading reflection questions are suspended indefinitely until such time that I deem it necessary to ask the class to research a certain topic. Instead, your search of the text and other material will be done in the pursuit of expanding the field guide. I will be putting future instructions at the top of the different pages of the field guide.
