  • Family was once place in the honeysuckle family, Caprifoliaceae

Indentifying Characteristics

  • Oppisite Leaves
  • Leaves are toothed
  • Normally 5 small petalled flowers
  • Flowers in cymose inflorescences (determinate simple inflorescence)
  • Fruit is a drupe
